Could Sunscreen Cause Skin Cancer?

sunscreen-and-skin-cancer
The relationship between sun exposure and our health may not be as straightforward as we have been made to believe. Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in the United States with the most lethal form of skin cancer being melanoma. The sun has always been linked to be the cause of this condition. It is claimed that too much ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun can damage the DNA in skin cells. If enough DNA damage occurs over time, this can build up and cause your cells to start growing erratically, which can lead to skin cancer. Could Sunscreen Cause Skin Cancer? Sunscreen was created to prevent skin cancer and has been thought to protect us - until recently. Think about it. If the sun was the only factor causing skin cancer and sunscreen prevented it, we’d be cancer-free by now based on statistics. Not to mention we...

Link Between Autism and Vaccines

Link Between Autism and Vaccines
Throughout history, we have been exposed to misleading and broken statements from agencies that were created with the intent to protect us. Less than fifty years ago, tobacco companies were promoting that cigarettes were not addictive or hazardous to your health. In fact, there were advertising campaigns featuring “nine out of ten doctors” recommend their brand. After 30 years of asbestos manufacturers putting their material throughout our public buildings and schools, it was proven that asbestos causes cancer even though company insiders have known this for years. In the 1980’s, most studies showed the rate of autism in children to be 1 in 10,000. The latest studies conducted by the CDC (2014) show that 1 in 68 children have autism. There are many possible reasons and many unanswered questions as to why and how this alarming accelerating rate is happening. Sixty percent of parents of children with autism blame vaccines, and...

One Sure Way To Live 100 Years

One Sure Way To Live 100 Years
The idea of living forever might seem like a fairytale -- especially in the 1800’s, where the average life expectancy was 35 years. But now people are living up to 80 years of age. So how far can we expect this trend to continue? Some researchers say that there's a limit on how many years a human being can live, the maximum being 125. That is only a few years short of the longest documented human lifespan. Jeanne Calment of France (1875–1997) lived to the age of 122 years. Nobody lives forever, and most fear dying too early. If you do get blessed with longevity, you hope to avoid sickness and disease. My goal is to be a centenarian. I want live to 100 with full vitality and vigor, have a huge party with all my community and family, and leave this world as painlessly as blowing out my birthday candles....

Winning Combination Of Chiropractic Care And Yoga

Winning Combination Of Chiropractic Care And Yoga
The past few years have seen both chiropractic care and yoga become more popular in various parts of the world including the US. This has been attributed to the numerous health benefits the two practices offer to human health, both to the mind and body. Remarkably, chiropractic care and yoga share a lot in common which is why they complement each other quite seamlessly. If you’re a chiropractic patient, practicing yoga can be very rewarding when used to supplement your spinal care. How Chiropractic Care and Yoga Can Benefit You Let’s admit it, you’ll hardly find a better tool than yoga when it comes to yielding physiological benefits for your body and mind. Indeed, the yoga poses (asanas) and breathing exercises (pranayama) serve as excellent therapeutic tools that help heal both your mind and body. Practicing yoga can also help to balance your body, lower your stress, and improve your concentration. Conversely,...

New Technology in Healthcare

Technology in Healthcare
As the world is increasingly phasing into a technology based system, how is this affecting healthcare? We are in a time of convenience and a fast pace world wanting answers quickly, looking for a quick fix. People not only want to feel better quickly, but have no time to take off work or wait to see their provider for questions from lab results to basic health needs. The surge of over-thecounter medication and the marketing of quick relief has taken healthcare to a very short sighted view that mask symptoms that would otherwise be detected. A 2013 study in the Journal of Patient Safety projected that medical errors now account for 210,000 to 440,000 in U.S. deaths annually. Making medical errors is the third leading cause of death behind heart disease and cancer. Americans account for 70% of the world’s prescribed medication, yet we were ranked last among the 11 largest developed...
